Business management software vendor Tally Solutions is preparing to embark on an aggressive channel expansion drive across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The fast-growing Indian software vendor will kick-start its MENA channel charm offensive with a series of reseller roadshows in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. “Tally is creating an ecosystem in MENA, which benefits from the company’s rich experience and will support users in terms of implementation, training, customisation, technical support, accounting services, integration and other specialist requirements,” said Bharat Goenka, managing director at Tally Solutions. “Tally is the largest finance, accounting and inventory management software vendor in India and is rapidly gaining global acceptance with more than 1.5 million customers in 88 countries worldwide including in MENA. It is our vision to see Tally become the de facto business solution environment, known for its sheer simplicity, versatility and scalability,” he added. With a product portfolio serving the business software requirements of small and large companies alike, Tally plans to build an extensive indirect channel in MENA to take its products to market. Retailers, dealers, resellers, value-added resellers, systems integrators, solution providers, complementary ISVs, IT consultancies and even corporate resellers are all potential channel partners for Tally to work with. Tally reckons that it has a compelling channel proposition for MENA resellers including the opportunity for product-focused dealers to move up the value chain into the software arena. Tally also plans to launch its own dedicated operation in the MENA region to support partners and customers. Deepak Prakash, general manager at Tally Dubai, added: “Tally Solutions has been present in the Middle East through its dealers for a while now. The burgeoning market potential in the region has inspired us to have our own presence here. This also reinforces our seriousness in doing business in the Middle East.” “According to the market research commissioned by Tally, the GCC market specifically for Tally software is significant with a huge opportunity in the small and medium business (SMB) market space where there is high PC penetration levels. Piracy is also relatively low in most Middle East countries with the consumer buying behaviour mature enough to allow the development of a software retail channel,” added Goenka. “Over the coming three years, Tally Solutions Middle East aims to capture a clear majority of the market share in the business automation solution space. We aim to achieve this by presenting the most suitable solutions that meet or exceed the specific requirements of the region. A robust distribution and delivery network will back up these solutions,” he concluded. Tally has planned four initial events to showcase its solutions and explain the benefits of becoming authorised Tally dealers to potential channel partners. Two TallyMeets will take place on August 21st and August 28th at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Dubai. A further two TallyMeets are scheduled for August 23rd and August 30th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The events are free to attend but spaces are limited.
