Creative commits to Middle East office

Creative has come a step closer to establishing an office in the Middle East after registering the company name Creative Labs Middle East and securing office premises at the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.

Digital device and component vendor Creative has come a step closer to establishing an office in the Middle East after registering the company name Creative Labs Middle East and securing office premises at the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. “We are committed to bolstering our channel in the Middle East. In particular we are hoping to increase our presence in the retail sector,” said Leonard Yap, senior marketing specialist at Creative Middle East. “Our focus in the region is very much on the GCC and Iran at present, but after we have the office, we will start to develop the brand further in the smaller markets of the Middle East,” he added. The new office will fulfil a sales and marketing role to support its growing business in the Middle East. Yap says Creative wants to let its distributors concentrate on channel marketing and cultivating resellers, while the vendor’s staff in Dubai will take the role of wider marketing and branding to create more demand from end users. Creative would also like the office to flesh out its services offering in the region. Creative now has two full time staff in the Middle East after witnessing a strong increase in regional demand during the last year. The vendor eventually hopes to have a team of approximately ten staff at its offices in Dubai and expects to have the office up and running at some point between Gitex 2005 and the end of the year. “This will further prove how serious and dedicated to the Middle East Creative is, that we are here to stay,” concluded Yap.
