Grand Gourmet Summit signs World Gourmet Club

Grand Hyatt Dubai’s Grand Gourmet Summit, set to take place in November, has signed up with reputed organiser of gourmet events, the World Gourmet Club.

Grand Hyatt Dubai’s Grand Gourmet Summit, set to take place in November, has signed up with reputed organiser of gourmet events, the World Gourmet Club. The Club is the umbrella organisation for top-level gourmet events, including the World Gourmet Summits in Singapore and Las Vegas, and the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival. “We are thrilled to be affiliated with The World Gourmet Club,” said Peter Fulton, general manager, Grand Hyatt Dubai. “It reflects the aim of the Grand Gourmet Summit — to promote the exchange of culinary expertise and collaboration between chefs, as well as establish and cultivate relationships with gourmets in the field of high-quality cuisine,” he added. “With World Gourmet Club events already in the US, Asia, Australia and Europe, Grand Gourmet Summit fills the gap for our part of the world, as gourmets from across the Middle East will be united by a common appreciation of the joy of fine dining and gastronomy,” he added. According to Hyatt, The Summit is set to be the most ambitious culinary event seen so far in the Dubai hospitality industry and will provide a meeting place for chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, cigar specialists and hospitality experts to impart the latest in international trends to guests and food connoisseurs in the region. A host of top chefs from around the world have confirmed participation, including award-wining Italian pastry chef Andre Zanin and Australian ‘fusionist’ chef Scott Webster. Venice born Zanin’s family have been making bread and confectionery for more than half a century, and now he is considered one of Italy’s leading pastry chefs. Scott Webster is a leading chef in the field of fusion cuisine and is at the forefront of Australian food marketing, as he promotes Australian products such as beef, lamb, seafood, cheese and wines through his menu selections. In the beverage field, French wine makers Pascale Jolivet and Jean-Charles Cazes have already confirmed participation. Pascale Jolivet is a regular visitor to Grand Hyatt Dubai, having most recently launched his brand ‘Exception’ in Dubai at the hotel. Chateau Lynch Bages, under the direction of Jean-Charles Cazes, is one of France’s most established vineyards, dating back to the early eighteenth century, producing high quality wines. The event will be see internationally renowned chefs, winemakers and gourmets participating in the six day event, with a packed schedule of master classes, beverage-tasting, exhibitions, meetings and a charity auction gala dinner. The final programme of events and Michelin star studded line-up of chefs and personalities from the world of cuisine has yet to be finalised.
