HOME appliances juggernaut Braun has made its first venture into the fast-growing steam station market, which comprises high-powered irons with a greater steam output. The new Braun FreeStyle Excel will be capable of slashing weekly ironing time by up to an hour and a half, claims Braun. “The Braun FreeStyle Excel’s sophisticated technology will cater to the demand for a time efficient product that delivers superior results,” said Manoj Nair, regional business manager, Braun. The steam station provides enough steam for up to two hours of ironing. The unit negates the need for manual spraying of creased or heavy fabrics, while regular fabrics require just a single stroke to render them neatly ironed, insists Braun. Key features include a Braun ergonomic open handle design, a lightweight steam boiler for easy storage and a safety measure that locks the boiler in place while under pressure. The iron will be distributed to supermarkets and electronic stores in the Middle East.
