Mitel makes Qatar move with Seiat appointment

IP telephony specialist Mitel has signed up Qatari communications solutions provider Seiat to boost channel reach into the enterprise and SME sector for its voice over IP (VoIP) offering. Seiat also plans to strengthen Mitel’s customer reach through a dealer channel in Qatar.

IP telephony specialist Mitel has signed up Qatari communications solutions provider Seiat to boost channel reach into the enterprise and SME sector for its voice over IP (VoIP) offering. Seiat also plans to strengthen Mitel’s customer reach through a dealer channel in Qatar. Rajeev G. Krishnan, general manager at Seiat, said: “Qatar, is one of the most dynamic economies in the region and presents an attractive business opportunity for network products and converged platforms.” “Mitel has a very strong presence world-wide and in the region. It is a leading vendor in the IP communication industry. I believe the time is ripe for Mitel Networks and Seiat Systems to join hands and take advantage of the Qatar business communications market. There are a wide range of opportunities where we can make a great difference with Mitel technology,” he added. “We are pleased to have selected Seiat for our partnership in Qatar as they are leading system integrators and solution providers in the industry,” said Hisham Amili, general manager GCC at Mitel. “I am equally pleased with the new market dynamics at play in Qatar where the market appears to be receptive to VoIP and other advanced telephony applications. Although a relatively small market in comparison to other markets in the region, Qatar is a very important one in the GCC for a number of reasons including but not limited to the rate of growth, diversification, WTO, and potential market liberalisation,” concluded Amili.
