Xerox recently took its ‘Digitally Cool’ event on the road to Amman, Jordan, to explain digital printing to enterprise customers from across the Levant The printing vendor held the event in association with partner vendors Pantone and Creo as well as Arabian Office Automation, the exclusive Xerox distributor in Jordan. The Digitally Cool events are set up to explain the critical role that digital printing plays in an efficient office environment. The presentation was entitled ‘the new business of printing.’ The Digitally Cool event in Jordan also placed a focus on the importance of local distribution in Xerox’s go-to-market strategy. Xerox executives presented the ways in which digital printing can improve a company’s workflow and how enterprise businesses need to look at print jobs from planning stage to implementation, considering the whole process and not just the printed output. Industry expert and printing consultant Roger Gimbel was flown in from America, to explain how Xerox enterprise partners can position themselves as digital print ‘communication enablers’ rather than print houses. Other speakers at the event included Ben Gale, general manager sales and marketing Middle East and Africa (MEA) at Xerox and Oussama Hammad, general manager at Arabian Office Automation. Two Xerox printers were also launched at Digitally Cool Jordan – the DocuColor 6060 and the DocuColor 8000 high quality colour laser printers.
