Tejari has signed a deal with Oman Air to provide the carrier with its strategic procurement services, which will help increase the efficiency of its procurement operations and reduce its trading costs. The Omani flag carrier will not only benefit from Tejari’s state of the art B2B marketplace, but signing the deal enables it to have a greater market reach and transparency of Tejari’s online auction process. “Our core attributes are punctuality, professionalism and service excellence, and Tejari’s fast, intuitive consulting service is set to enhance these attributes by keeping us informed of the latest opportunities for agreements and acquisitions, as well as providing an insightful, long-term overview of our future growth,” said Abdulrahman Al Busaidy, CEO, Oman Air. Tejari, which launched its procurement consulting services at the end of May, promotes a more effective supplier management and strategic sourcing, which can save regional businesses anywhere from 5-15% of their procurement costs. Savings have already been demonstrated by businesses across the region, as Tejari has already established customer relationships with other leading airlines. “Our partnership with Oman Air will greatly benefit both parties. While Oman Air will gain a strategic, experienced advisor to help them drive profitable future growth, we will achieve a major expansion in our profile across Oman,” said Saqib Iqbal, COO, Tejari. “With this deal we ensure that we offer opportunities to a range of trading partners locally, regionally and on a global level,” added Al Busaidy.
