Unified threat management (UTM) appliances vendor Elitecore Technologies has penned a distribution partnership with Bulwark to target the regional market.

Under the terms of the agreement, the UAE-based distributor will be responsible for carrying Elitecore’s Cyberoam products in the Middle East region.

With both firms predicting that annual Middle East IT security expenditure will reach US$9 billion by 2009, Cyberoam has awarded Bulwark the responsibility of capitalising on this trend and selling security appliances to resellers in the region.

Harish Chib, VP marketing at Cyberoam, said: “Bulwark’s experience in IT security and focus on providing internet and intranet security related solutions complements our offerings. It will play a strategic role in Cyberoam’s expansion into the Middle East.”

Jose Thomas, director of operations at Bulwark, added: “We are pleased to partner with Cyberoam which brings unique user identity-based security, strengthening our product portfolio. Through Cyberoam we shall be able to offer granular security, meeting the security demand of our customers.”

Bulwark started its operations in the UAE more than seven years ago.
