Midmarket software solutions vendor Epicor Scala has struck a partnership deal with Amwaj IT to push its products to customers in Saudi Arabia. Amwaj IT, headed up by Bilal Sununu, bills itself as a turnkey IT solutions provider. Sununu was previously general manager of Microsoft Saudi Arabia. The announcement comes as little surprise given that Amwaj IT itself was actually formed through a merger between B2ITS, a leading IT consultancy in the Kingdom, and Scala Arabia, Epicor Scala’s existing in-country partner. “I’m excited about this challenging opportunity,” said Sununu. “I believe we have the ingredients to create a market leader and I look forward to working with our high-calibre team at Epicor Scala to achieve our ambitious goals.” Basil Daniells, channel manager at Epicor Scala Middle East and Africa, said, “According to a recent Epicor AC Nielsen survey, almost three quarters of companies in the Kingdom are looking to deploy or upgrade their ERP solutions. Amwaj, through its experienced leadership, top-notch consulting team and world-class partnerships, is well positioned to capitalise on this opportunity and become a regional leader.” Epicor Scala’s midmarket solutions span enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM). Since its acquisition of Scala, the combined Epicor Scala entity now boasts some 20,000 customers across 140 countries.
