Messaging security solutions vendor BorderWare has expanded its Middle East channel ranks with the appointment of ITQAN as a value-added reseller for its MXtreme mail firewall appliance. Dean Polley, general manager at systems integrator ITQAN, commented: “With the business environment in the Middle East becoming increasingly competitive and security savvy, the need for secure, gateway level, robust and reliable email communications, has never been more pronounced. We firmly believe that software based email security and unsecured open source mail gateways that are common in most business environments in the region, will soon become a thing of the past.” ITQAN, which now boasts more than 100 employees in the UAE, specialises in a range of horizontal IT services including infrastructure security, collaborative knowledge management, CRM and ERP as well as offering specific vertical expertise in the e-government and healthcare arenas. “ITQAN sees a huge market opportunity for MXtreme as companies recognize the need for building comprehensive perimeter security around application specific, mission critical areas of security such as email and VOIP. MXtreme is the most complete and secure email security solution available, and complements our expertise and reputation in IT infrastructure security,” said Polley. “We have to ensure we have the right products in our portfolio to be confident that we can respond to customers’ exact requirements. The high level of email security afforded by MXtreme combined with its competitive pricing makes it a perfect addition to our portfolio,” he added. BorderWare is expanding its reseller channel and partner programmes in the region. The vendor recently launched a BorderWare partner website offering support for channel partners. The company is also committed to measuring partner satisfaction and profitability on an ongoing basis. Lead generation activities and expanded partner training reflect the importance of the channel as a route-to-market for BorderWare’s MXtreme sales. “As we continue to build successful relationships by understanding the value our partners bring to customers, we welcome the local experience and customer engagement process that ITQAN brings to the table. As part of the Al Bawardi Group, ITQAN has demonstrated a unified approach across many vertical key markets,” said Dean J Bell, director Middle East and Asia Pacific at BorderWare.
