World gold Council picks The Idea Agency for Middle East PR

The World Gold Council (WGC) has chosen Dubai-based The Idea Agency to carry out its communications across the Middl East and Pakistan

The World Gold Council (WGC) has chosen Dubai-based The Idea Agency to carry out its communications across the Middl East and Pakistan. “This comes at a point of time when the WGC has renewed its focus on its mission as the marketing organization for the gold industry,” Moaz Barakat, managing director, World Gold Council. “ The appointment gains further significance with Dubai's unrivalled position as 'The City of Gold.' We are confident the Idea Agency's expertise and experience in the gold and jewellery sector will greatly support the World Gold Council's efforts to promote gold jewellery in the region,” he added. The WGC opened its regioal headquarters in Dubai in 1993, which currenly oversees operations in Turkey, the Levant, Egypt, GCC states and Pakistan. “We have been working with key organizations in the U.A.E.'s thriving gold industry for well over a decade,” said Rita Boustany, managing director, The Idea Agency. “This, we feel confident, will be of great value in enhancing and fortifying the mission of the WGC to reinforce the demand for gold in the region. The Idea Agency looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the World Gold Council.”
