BenQ pulled together resellers and set its sights on the continued growth of projector sales in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets. Rodana, one of BenQ's Saudi distributors, was on hand at the recent event in Dubai to share the secrets of its success with the 120 channel partners in attendance. Though it is a newcomer to the digital projector market, BenQ has enjoyed strong growth throughout the first half of 2005 and hopes to capitalise on this further to replicate its success in Asia. “BenQ is revolutionising its range of digital display technology and advanced projection systems, and is seeing strong growth in the corporate, government and education sectors of the Middle East. We are also seeing strong growth in the home theatre market, as projectors provide better quality images, and become smaller, easier to use and more affordable,” said Manish Bakshi, general manager at BenQ Middle East. Ayman H. Akel, general manager at Rodana Digital gave a best practice session detailing what lessons can be learned and how to capitalise on the recent growth in the projector market. Corporate and consumer electronics dealers as well as representatives from power retailers and distributors attended the event, which also contained a briefing on the latest BenQ products including the new PB2140 projector.
