Western Digital takes top partners stateside

Hard drive giant Western Digital rewarded three of its top Middle East channel partners with a trip to the company’s headquarters in California, USA. Representatives from Aptec, Better Business and ART jetted off to the States in recognition of their sterling sales efforts.

Hard drive giant Western Digital (WD) rewarded three of its top Middle East channel partners with a trip to the company’s headquarters in California, USA. Representatives from Aptec, Better Business and ART jetted off to the States in recognition of their sterling sales efforts. During the trip, representatives from the three companies got the opportunity to meet senior WD executives. The three companies achieved the highest sales for WD in the last quarter. Hafeez Khawaja, senior regional director of Middle East, Africa and South Asia at WD, said: “The commendable performance of Western Digital in the Middle East over the years is largely due to the committed efforts of our valued partners across the region, who have ensured WD’s success through their high quality services and focused approach.” “We felt that our partners would be able to further enhance their level of services by exposing them to our operations and facilities. This gave them a first hand experience of our various processes and systems which enabled them to better understand the nuances of this industry,” he added. Rakesh Sapru, hard drive components product manager at distributor Aptec, remarked: “This initiative from WD goes a long way in cementing our business alliance with WD. Throughout our association with WD, we have received their support and assistance in the constantly changing business environment. Our visit to the WD headquarters in the United States has provided us with valuable insights into the global storage product markets.” “WD’s range of state-of-the-art, cost-effective storage products are today dominating markets around the world and we are proud to be the channel partner for a company of this stature,” said Yasser Shaheen, PC and notebook division manager at assembler ART International. “This gesture by WD to take us on a visit to their facilities in California marks a new level in our relationsip with the company. A highlight of our trip was our interaction with several senior managers of WD, who shared their valuable experience with us.”
