NEC names third Egyptian distributor

NEC Computers International (CI) has announced a new distribution partner in Egypt

NEC Computers International (CI) has announced a new distribution partner in Egypt. El Araby will distribute NEC CI’s full range of desktops and notebooks to trade accounts in the Egyptian market. El Araby join AT&C and Orascom as authorised distributors for Egypt. “With NEC’s background in technological innovation and its product portfolio we are confident we can increase our customer satisfaction. The core strengths of our company are our team of experienced IT professionals and our extensive customer care program, providing 24 hour support,” said Medhat El Araby, General Manager of the group’s office equipment and computer division. NEC CI is the fifth largest manufacturer of PCs in Europe. It has a no overlap approach to channel partnering and only appoints distributors to handle different vertical sectors of the market. “We take a lot of care to assess potential partners before appointing them. We will only appoint companies who share the same goals as NEC CI. We also emphasise having the right products for the right markets, especially with peripherals like keyboards and packaging and instruction manuals. We have a very committed channel strategy and are working towards becoming one of the top vendors in the region,” said Annick Reyngoudt, senior marketing manager at NEC CI. The appointment of El Araby was made by Interfrontiers, which is the business development partner for NEC CI’s operations in the region. “We are certain that with Interfrontiers’ expertise, and the standing of El Araby as a premier distributor in the Egyptian IT market, we will achieve the highest possible penetration and a significant increase in our market share in Egypt,” said Michel de Bievre, executive director at NEC CI NEC CI’s products are currently also distributed by Al Andalus Trading in Kuwait, Al Yousuf Computers in the UAE and Computer Castle in Saudi Arabia.
