Dubai-based event management firm d’Events has moved out of its co-founders’ spare bedrooms and onto Sheikh Zayed Road. The firm, jointly managed by sister-team Lucy and Camilla d’Abo, was launched in September 2004. d’Events claims to deliver imaginative concepts and reliable event solutions for its client base, which includes Novell, Visa International, Zenith Optimedia, and the Al Tayer Group. “To date, many corporate events are managed by in-house marketing staff or advertising and public relations agencies, however the Middle East market is increasingly demanding more creative and sophisticated events that compete on an international scale and this is where specialised event companies such as d’Events add so much value,” said Lucy d’Abo. “We believe there is a growing need from corporates to utilise professional event management services to ensure their brand stands out from the crowd,” she added. Although the d’Events team initially created a number of events for blue chip firms, starting with Novell, it has recently widened its scope of works to include projects for the Lifestyles Formula 1 Powerboat Championship and the Kinnarps Cup Polo Tournament.
