Saudi Arabian company Watania Agriculture has introduced a new range of jams to the UAE, currently sold through the recently opened Organic Foods & Cafe. The company produces a range of organic products including fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat, olive oil. Set up in 1982, it is an agricultural operation that has diversified into a wide range of food production, and its organic products are gaining a foothold in the GCC. “Studies prove that misuse of chemicals in agriculture leads to diseases in humans. Organic products are a safe alternative and are a reason for the huge growth in their consumption all over the world,” says Watania. The project has more than one million fruit trees including peach, plum, apple, nectarine, pear and several varieties of grape from which the jam is produced. The range is available from C&G Trading.
