Extra oil production kicks off in Yemen

Production from a new oil centre in Yemen’s southern province of Hadramout started this week.

Production from a new oil centre in Yemen’s southern province of Hadramout started this week. The rate of production from the project initially hit the 24,000 barrels per day (bpd) mark. Rashid Barbaa, Yemen’s oil minister said that production in the new wells, which are run by Canadian Nixon Petroleum, is expected to increase gradually over the coming phases of the development.
