Lloyds TSB has appointed Transguard, the Emirates Group’s security services provider, to handle cash collection, processing and cash replenishment services for the bank's network of ATMs in Dubai. Transguard will make cash collections from Lloyds TSB's corporate customers and transport the cash using armoured vehicles to the company’s currency management centre in the Dubai Airport Free Zone. There the cash will be processed according to UAE Central Bank regulations, which involves the authentication of banknotes, sorting per denomination and packing for circulation across the market. "We are firmly focused on delivering exceptional customer service to all of our customers whether in our branch, at customer service centres or at an ATM. To fulfil this aim we require our suppliers to demonstrate a capability to deliver to our exacting standards,” says Giles Cunningham, regional manager, Lloyds TSB Dubai "Transguard is unquestionably capable of meeting our stringent criteria and I am delighted to enter into this agreement," he adds.
