As part of an ongoing commitment to driving IT transformation in the region, HP is the Platinum Sponsor of the Global ICT Summit Bahrain 2005, and discussed the future of the concept adaptive enterprise in the region. The summit was attended today by CIOs, heads of leading market players, as well key IT managers from manufacturing, oil & gas, banking and automotive companies across the region. Speaking at the summit, Joseph Hanania, managing director of HP Middle East comments that the success of the IT transformation is dependent upon the ability of businesses to shift practice and process quickly to match the requirements of the changing IT environment. “As the market leader in enterprise, small and medium business and consumer technology solutions, HP is committed to working with CIOs enhance business efficiency and ensure that IT management is a key business driver,” he says. A networked world calls for connection, convergence and a common IT language. The key to achieving the next level in digital transformation, according to Hanania, is for companies to transform internal processes and content from the physical and static to the digital, virtual and mobile space. “Focus needs to be placed on maximising ROIT while mitigating risk and increasing a company’s agility in the face of change,” Hanania adds.
