IT hardware vendor NEC gathered more than 150 of its most successful international partners together in Delphi, Greece, for two days of presentations, meetings, workshops and networking designed to stimulate even more channel growth in 2005 and beyond. The event, organised by NEC Computers International (CI), focused on the vendor’s future plans, marketing programmes, success stories, sales techniques and international and regional objectives for 2005. Michel De Bievre, executive director at NEC CI, said: “This event is one of the most important moments in the year where we have the chance to meet with all our top NEC partners. Having their feedback contributes to our future NEC product and solution offering.” The event gave international partners the opportunity to meet with NEC staff and interact with other resellers from around the world. NEC CI claims that the annual event plays an important role in its desire to ensure partners feel part of a successful and expanding international team. The reseller convention also gave NEC CI the opportunity to transfer information regarding its roadmap in key product areas such as desktop PCs, notebooks, servers and storage solutions. One-on-one meetings and workshops gave NEC CI and its partners ample opportunity to share thoughts and ideas on the vendor’s progress and future direction.
