Software giant Oracle has saluted its Middle East channel champions. The vendor handed out PartnerNetwork awards to its top channel performers from across the region at its recent partner get-together. Prizes for sales performance, industry leadership and business excellence were given at the latest Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) open day, held in Dubai recently. Over 700 partners registered to take part in Oracle’s Middle East and Africa open day with Dubai-based Global Technology Services, State Informatics Limited from Mauritius and Royah of Saudi Arabia all walking off with regional awards for business excellence. Mercator, the IT division of the Emirates Group, was presented with an award for industry excellence in the field of airlines and airports. Individual sales team members from Mannai Trading of Qatar and Saudi Business Machines picked up prizes for their stellar performance. Giza Systems from Egypt and Intracom Jordan also received accolades for business excellence and exceptional sales. OPN is a global network designed to help Oracle partners gain business advantages through a range of resources. It incorporates Oracle partners from all levels in the channel, including systems integrators, hardware vendors, value added resellers and independent software vendors. “Partners who have received awards have contributed significantly to Oracle’s success in the past 12 months, and successfully demonstrated how Oracle’s broad portfolio of solutions can be applied to create added value and generate new business opportunities,” commented Jimmy Anidjar, senior vice president at Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa.
