Network technology vendor Cyberguard has entered into a partnership with Aim (Advanced Integrated Media) to distribute its SG products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The SG range of networking security devices is targeted at the SOHO and SMB sectors, and Aim will also promote them to the computing retail market. The products have already been released in the cities of Khobar, Riyadh and Jeddah, with smaller cities to follow. Bashar Bashaireh, regional manager of the Middle East and North Africa at Cyberguard said: “In Aim we have found a trusted and reputed partner to distribute our SG product line across KSA and the scope of our partnership could be extended in future.” Bassam Abubaker, general manager at Aim, added, “The home and SMB market in Saudi Arabia is growing at a rapid pace, with a corresponding increase in the number of internet and computer users. Moreover, we have witnessed an increase in multi-level virus attacks and hacker intrusions worldwide, which has widened the market for security products.” Cyberguard has been working in the Saudi Arabian market since the late nineties. Its SG product range extends from small servers for home offices to servers big enough to encompass either wired or wireless local area networks of small and medium sized businesses. The company also has a global command centre from which administrators can manage a fleet of SG appliances across a large distributed network. Aim is one of the largest IT and communication distributors in the Kingdom. Cyberguard will conduct training and product update sessions for its partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and hold seminars for end users.
