3i Infotech, formerly ICICI Infotech, has won orders from ESMA Trading, Maritronics, Nishat Trading, Golden Falcon Chemicals, Musab Al Gaddah and Al Jaber Gallery in Dubai, as well as Al Mazrouit ICAS, based in Abu Dhabi. Under the terms of the contracts, 3i will supply Orion Advantage, its latest micro-verticalised, ready-to-use ERP solution. With these wins, the company is emerging as the preferred enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions vendor in the Middle East, backed by its ability to deliver industry-specific requirements through its channel partners. The fact that the company is providing a cost arbitrage and a delivery assurance mechanism to user organisations has also helped it strengthen its position in the regional market. Having implemented Orion across various industry segments and verticals such as high-tech, electronics, electricals, food, chemical, plastics, manufacturing and distribution, 3i now has the specific-industry best practices built into the product according to Kalpesh Desai, chief operating officer for 3i Infotech in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “We have eliminated the need to conduct a business process study by pre-configuring Orion Advantage with the vertical’s business processes and delivering an application that is specifically mapped to the industry segment. This allows our partners to be enabled by our vertical business experts, and deliver effective and rapid solutions to clients.” One of the first deals in the Middle East for Orion Advantage is ESMA Industrial Enterprises, one of the leading distributors and stockists of high-quality, oilfield-related industrial products in the UAE and CIS countries. Narendra Odhrani, ESMA’s managing director says, "We made the decision to opt for 3i Infotech's package against a host of offerings from other ERP solution providers such as Microsoft, Oracle, MBS and Sage Accpac. We are certain that this solution will help us make strategic and organisational decisions that will impact our final service delivery, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty."
