Amiantit has US $110 million worth of deals in the pipeline

Amiantit Group has secured more than US $110 million in contracts within the GCC and Yemen in the first quarter of 2005. The Saudi Arabia-based manufacturer supplies pipes to the construction industry, and has won a US $40 million contract from the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu to supply 4 m-diameter GRP pipes — throught to be the largest in the world to be used on a sanitation project. The company is also supplying pipes for the Sabiyah Desalination Plant project, a road construction project and Al-Khiran New Town infrastructure project, all in Kuwait. In Oman, it is supplying pipes for the Sohar Desalination Plant, and projects in the Ibra, Al-Qabil, Bidiyah and Fanjah areas.
