IT solutions suppliers GoldenBlue Hospitality Enterprises has announced a number of new business partnerships with solutions providers at The Hotel Show. The company, which supplies a number of hotel-specific IT products to hotel chains in the Middle East and Africa market such as InterContinental Hotels Group, Rotana International and Jumeirah International, has teamed up with EzRMS — Revenue Management Systems from the UK. “Their products are by far the most superior in the market in terms of technology, innovation and return on investment. Any solution that can help a hotel increase its profits by 50 - 100% has to be seen to be believed. The Hotel Show will help us to make new believers out of our prospective clients,” remarks Najib Makhdoom, manager, marketing & customer services for GoldenBlue. Also new on the GoldenBlue distribution list is ACOM from Canada. ACOM provides financial management systems for hotels. “Their accounting solution was widely believed to be the best of its kind in the hospitality industry. They have recently relaunched a new version of this solution and GoldenBlue has been chosen as the business partner for the ME&A as well as Southern Europe markets,” Makhdoom says. Also from Canada, GoldenBlue has signed a contract to distribute the PixelPoint point of sale (POS) system. The POS suite includes employee scheduling, wireless order taking, remote group management for head offices and chains of restaurants, and an interface with a restaurant’s web site to manage take-away orders, deliveries and customer information. “A truly ‘Next Generation’ POS system,” Makhdoom boasts. GoldenBlue has its regional headquarters in Dubai Internet City, from where it plans to manage a growing portfolio of hotel contracts. “We hope to show the hospitality industry that IT solutions are not all about hardware and software. Rather, IT solutions are all about approaching business with a keen understanding of the operational needs of automation, best practices in terms of policies & procedures, and ‘out of the box’ thinking, all the while, using IT as a tool to help achieve new standards of excellence,” says Makhdoom.
