Uniforms manufacturer Simon Jersey has made smart work out of looking smart at work with its new co-ordinated collection, designed especially for the hospitality industry. The UK-based corporate and work wear specialist has created a fresh colour palette for its new hospitality brochure, and introduced new colours such as cherry red in contrast to suit classics black and grey, for a classic look with a contemporary twist. “Our customers demand good value, style and comfort. This collection aims to bring high-street fashion trends to the workplace, providing a stylish uniform solution for every working environment and every budget, and giving staff a strong sense of corporate identity,” says Simon Jersey managing director, Heiko Rees. The new 28-page brochure brings together a co-ordinated collection of work wear, which mixes modern styling with functional fabrics. The Simon Jersey range includes outfits for chef and kitchen wear, housekeeping uniforms, beauty wear, and management suits, and has subdivided its new brochure accordingly. Also presented is Qualitas, Simon Jersey’s range of easy-care, comfort-wear machine washable suiting. With fashion-focused tailoring, including one-button jackets, wide legged trousers and drop waist skirts, the Qualitas range is made from crease-resistant fabric with lycra. Simon Jersey’s new range of printed chef’s wear adds a colourful twist to kitchen operations, with designs including a herb print, spicy chilli print or black and white stripes. The new striped fabric is a high quality, functional Streseman-weave. Made from a 65% polyester and 35% cotton composition means it can be boil washed and is bleach resistant, and a special finish means it’s resistant to the more stubborn stains, including blood, fish and egg. “We designed this collection with functionality in mind; easy care comes as standard,” says Helen Harker, head of the Simon Jersey design team. “Smart and comfortable uniforms can play a major part in building team confidence. We wanted to design a range that employees will want to wear beyond the normal working hours, and the bonus is that these garments also withstand the rigours of any active working environment, week in, week out.” All ranges are available in above and below average sizes, with a try before you buy service, and delivery within ten days. In addition to its catalogue collections, Simon Jersey also offers bespoke uniform solutions. Simon Jersey is distributed in the Middle East by A. Ronai, which will be showcasing the latest catalogue ranges at The Hotel Show 2005.
