NASCO has been busy promoting NetGear products on its stand this Gitex as the firm has struck a deal with the vendor to ship its products in Saudi Arabia. In particular, NASCO is looking to target small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs), which it believes are starting to invest more in networks. “We have seen a strong demand from local markets and businesses,” says Faris Alsweerky, business development manager at NASCO. “In the SMB sector we see big potential for both wireless and wired solutions as the demand for these products grows. Also, the intelligent home concept, plus ADSL products are gaining in popularity, so the entire Middle East market has strong potential for our NetGear products,” he adds. NetGear’s products are grouped into three segments: Ethernet networking; broadband; and wireless networking. The latter includes switches, adapters, secure wired and wireless routers, and gateways. According to NASCO’s Mohammed Al Farahneh, the products present a great opportunity for resellers wishing to work with NASCO. “NetGear is leading the market by its innovations that make it a unique and distinguished brand. It can be categorised as the ‘first to’,” he says. “Having NetGear onboard reassures our partners about NASCO’s commitment to go further in serving the Middle East market by representing world class vendors. NASCO, being the only company in the Middle East to have a direct relationship with NetGear, makes it unique and gives us the ability to provide VARs and the local channel with a great opportunity. We now have the stock available and ready for the Middle East countries,” Al Farahneh adds.
