Jeddah-based IT solution provider House of Development (HOD) is demonstrating its package implementation, custom software application development and application service provision outsourcing facilities at this week’s Gitex Saudi Arabia. For more than ten years, HOD has been a leading provider of end-to-end value added IT solutions to both public and private organisations and has strategic alliances with some of the world’s biggest software providers, including Oracle, Softpro, Red Hat, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and hardware vendors such as HP, Intel and WACOM. HOD wants to make visitors to this week’s Gitex aware that regardless of the size of an organisation, all businesses can benefit from bespoke IT applications. Following the success of the recent deployment at Saudi Chamber of Commerce, HOD’s focus at Gitex will be on its e-certification and e-authentication systems. This system supplies end-to-end solutions for document certification and authentication. The solution automates handwritten signature verification and helps prevent fraud in the authentication of official documents used by both private and public sectors. HOD hopes its system will open the door for remote certified legal document handling, and the firm sees Gitex as an ideal platform to promote the idea. “Both public and private sector users in the region are now more accepting of online business processes, especially when they realise the benefits in terms of time, effort and money saved through online services,” says Ahmed Saeed Badrais, marketing manger at HOD.
