Security software vendor McAfee has enlisted the help of its Saudi Arabian partners to impress upon medium and large business users in the Kingdom the quality and scope of its integrated security solutions. As such, the firm’s channel partners in the Kingdom, Al Moammar Information Systems and ACS (Arabsoft) are showcasing McAfee’s entire portfolio of solutions, including its new risk management offering, at this week’s show. McAfee’s risk management solution allows users to automate the whole antivirus process. It was recently added to the vendor’s long product line-up following the firm’s acquisition of Foundstone. The security vendor has also strengthened its offerings in recent times by snapping up Entercept/ Intrushield in the IPS solution space. “The Saudi Arabian market is for us a key focus area in 2005,” comments Peter Kwisthout, channel & marketing manager, McAfee Middle East. “We have recently hired focused sales and technical resources, as well as recruiting the right channel partners, in order to make sure we can offer strong integrated security solutions to large and medium corporations in the Kingdom and not only single pieces of technology as most other vendors do. “ McAfee’s product portfolio covers most aspects of IT security — from the desktop to the core of the data centre. As Kwisthout explains: “We have solutions that protect the clients in the form of our VirusScan and Desktop Firewall titles, servers through our Groupshield and Host IPS solutions, and the infrastructure with Intrushield and Webshield.”
