Fujitsu and Fujitsu Siemens Computers have brought their business desktop PC series’ together under a new brand called ‘Esprimo’. In a move designed to help improve brand recognition for both companies’ business desktops, the new moniker will be rolled out immediately across all seven continents. Esprimo professional PCs will be available in Europe and the Middle East with Intel’s -generation Stable Image Platform Program on-board. This means that corporate buyers effectively get a guaranteed standardised hardware configuration for at least 12 months. Fujitsu is touting its Esprimo systems as ergonomic, environmentally conscious and silent machines that can meet the demands of every type of office. This new line has been designed to offer a unified look and feel, while in Europe the line has also been designed with environmental considerations in mind, in order to meet the requirements of the EU WEEE and RoHS standards by end of this year. “The new Esprimo brand will help propel our industry-leading desktops to the same kind of recognition we currently gain with our Lifebook brand,” said Peter Esser, executive vice president volume products and supply operations, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “The esprimo brand from Fujitsu and Fujitsu Siemens Computers offers customers an environmentally conscious, global PC brand that stands for high quality and reliability, tailored to meet their needs.” At present, no images or end user prices for Fujitsu's new Esprimo PCs are available.
