Samsung has kicked off a regional reseller training tour with an event in the UAE for more than 125 reseller sales personnel. The one-day training session aimed to equip the Samsung channel with knowledge and information regarding the vendor’s product range, allowing reseller to provide a better level of service to customers. Samsung’s ambition now is to replicate the training event across the Middle East and Africa region. According to the vendor, the modules in the programme are specially designed for simpler and better communication. “Samsung conducts such training programmes at regular intervals as part of its vision to offer unmatched support services to our loyal partners and consumers in turn throughout Middle East and Africa,” said Vivek Sharma, IT division sales manager at Samsung Gulf Electronics. “The main idea behind the training session was to ensure that our loyal partners are well versed to offer qualitative services to customers for our range of high-end products that we manufacture,” added Sharma. Samsung Gulf Electronics product range comprises handheld products, IT products, home appliances and audio-visual kit. Samsung MEA sells through a network of 40 distributors in the Middle East and Africa region and boasts annual sales in the territory in excess of US$2bn.
