Microsoft’s larger-than-life chief executive Steve Ballmer will be visiting the Middle East next week when he hosts the vendor’s second Government Leadership Forum (GLF) in Dubai. The two-day event, on April 24 and 25, will bring together top government and business leaders from around the region for four discussion forums: growth and economic development; governance and modernisation; social development and education; and public/private partnership. The event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence. This is the second time Microsoft has held the event in the Arab world following the GLF Cairo event in 2004.
