Holool will use the forthcoming Gitex to launch HOST, a bilingual version of the Linux operating system. The IT solutions provider, which was established in Riyadh in 2000, believes its version of the open source OS will be a winner due to its user friendly GUI and features. “HOST allows end user organisations to reduce IT costs by enabling them to do more with less,” says Holool’s Mohammad Al-Harbi. “We hope to receive a good response [for HOST] at Gitex Saudi Arabia this year as the Saudi IT market is a growing market and there is a great chance to promote our products at this show.” In addition to touting its new Linux offering, Holool will be talking visitors to its stand through its other solutions. These include eXensys, Holool’s flagship enterprise solutions. Built on Microsoft.Net, the software is targeted at verticals such as manufacturing, trading, retail and construction. Also on display will be TaskBase, a task and knowledge management tool. “Holool also offers a comprehensive range of products that have been designed to cater to the needs of its clients both in Saudi Arabia and across the globe; these products are known to be user-friendly, comprehensive and trailblazers in their respective areas. Our IT solutions enable our partners in the Kingdom to cut costs, respond rapidly to the markets needs, streamline internal operations, enhance customer services and mitigate risks,” says Al-Harbi. “I can honestly say that our products reduce costs and have good features. They also have a competitive price when compared with other companies,” he adds. In addition to promoting its products, Holool will also take time over the five days of Gitex Saudi Arabia to tell show attendees about the services it offers. These include product implementation, consultation and business process reengineering, application development, and enterprise application integration. “Holool’s services offering brings with it expertise and methodologies to handle the diverse business function requirements of an enterprise,” Al-Harbi says.
