Power protection firm Tripp Lite intends to become the premier brand in its field in Saudi Arabia. As such, the vendor is pulling out all the stops, including assembling its golden resellers at this year’s Gitex Shopper, part of the Gitex Saudi Arabia 2005 exhibition. “We hope to establish Tripp Lite as the primary solution in the Kingdom for power protection, racks and connectivity solutions. We will have our golden resellers participating and will have Tripp Lite promotions running throughout,” says Vipin Sharma, director of business development at Tripp Lite EMEA. “We anticipate huge demand for our surge bars in the home theatre market, as well as for our Power Verters for cars and mobile computing and UPS’ for kiosks and home PCs,” he adds. Tripp Lite aims to build on existing business, which has seen plenty of growth in recent times. In particular, the firm has seen increased demand for its products from the healthcare, banking, telecoms and manufacturing sectors. “We have lined up important meetings for the show that will enable us to understand corporate requirements and prepare a better strategy for growth in the Saudi market. With massive growth in oil & gas, real estate and manufacturing in the Kingdom, we expect a healthy growth rate of 30-35% in the power sector we address so many opportunities await,” says Sharma. In addition to laying out its business strategy, Tripp Lite will use the show to introduce its new three phase UPS products, as well as its new line of KVM Switches and rack/tower On Line Double Conversion UPS technologies. This product line addresses the high-end power solutions market in Saudi Arabia. “We feel this [Gitex Saudi Arabia] is a very important event,” says Sharma. “We plan to implement an incentive driven strategy for retail, SOHO as well as corporates in the Kingdom. The show is simply a must as part of our communication and education strategy,” he adds. The vendor has noticed an increasing number of customers looking for after sales service contracts for products. In response, Tripp Lite will appoint more critical application partners throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
