Networking vendor 3Com will highlight its IP telephony, security, switching and routing solutions at the forthcoming Gitex exhibition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). In addition, the company will showcase a range of networking solutions in partnership with its Saudi Arabian dealers and distributors. Visitors to the Saudi tradeshow will also be able to find out from 3Com about the contribution that networking tools can make toward the success of a business. “Gitex Saudi Arabia is an opportunity to meet new partners, to gain new leads and to network with existing channels and customers. Our presence is growing every quarter and we are already reaping considerable rewards in the Kingdom,” says Wael Fakharany, regional manager for 3Com Middle East. “3Com hopes to empower businesses with the tools they need to grow their revenues and scale up their networks. We have launched a wide range of self-aware infrastructure solutions, which received a great deal of interest in the Saudi market. We will use Saudi Gitex to further promote our product portfolio,” he adds. “Gitex Saudi Arabia is an event that makes an important contribution to the development of the Saudi channel for IT vendors.” The vendor says Saudi companies are showing interest in wireless local area networks (LANs). With the increasing use of laptops and other wire-free devices, companies are realising that they need to provide mobile access to corporate and public networks. Wireless LANs are fast becoming a must-have technology. Wael says hundreds of new businesses are being established in Saudi Arabia each year and the Kingdom’s leading organisations are growing rapidly. Whatever business sector they are in, they all need effective internal and external communication networks, which means the need for a comprehensive networking solution is crucial to organisations of all sizes.
