Royal Jordanian has increased its number of flights to the US with the launch of its summer schedule. The Jordanian flag carrier will up its frequencies to all three of its US gateways, Chicago, New York JFK and Detroit. As the flights are operated under a codeshare with American West, passengers will also be able to utilise seamless connections to a host of other American cities. The expansion starts on May 23, when RJ’s twice-weekly service to Detroit begins nonstop operations in both directions, replacing the one-stop service used during the winter. Then, from June 1, services to New York's JFK airport will be increased to five times per week. Finally, on June 19 nonstop service to Chicago O'Hare will be increased to four times per week, with all flights operating nonstop in both directions. "U.S.-based passengers can save hours of valuable time by choosing our non-stop flights instead of connecting over Europe. Royal Jordanian has been flying to the U.S. for 28 years and this summer we are excited to be offering the most flights ever between the U.S. and Jordan,” says Hussein Dabbas, head of marketing & sales for Royal Jordanian.
