Aman, the Dubai’s islamic insurance and reinsurance company and national public company, has announced the launch of an online quote service. The move allows motorists to apply for and receive their insurance quotations online. The company believes that this ‘first of its kind’ service will transform the whole process of insuring vehicles in the UAE, and has wider implications for competitiveness of the market as a whole. “The service facilitates the underwriting process of motor insurance contracts,” explains Jihad Feitrouni, general manager for Aman. “Users instantly receive an electronic version of our quotation after they submit their online application. The quotation will include the total insurance premium and our advanced call centre is available to respond to queries.” Vehicle owners can now log on to the site, key in basic information and receive an e-mailed copy of the quotation. This new service is expected to increase transparency and provide a good indication of premium levels for specific vehicles and circumstances. Aman, moreover, is able to draw on a comprehensive database on the vehicles and their models in the UAE market. The company, in response to an increased demand from customers, has developed the user-friendly service. It is capable of processing a large number of applications in a short timeframe, as well as reducing time and effort from the part of the customer. By introducing the new service, the company believes it has paved the way for further development of innovative services and products in the sector.
