Axiom has picked up Saudi distribution rights for the products and services offered by Mobily, Saudi Arabia’s newest mobile phone operator. Axiom, a specialist distributor and retailer in the field of mobile telephony, will push Mobily’s product portfolio though its fast-growing network of retail outlets in the Kingdom. “Customers will have easy and fast access to our products and services wherever they happen to be,” commented Athbi Al-Aqeel, Mobily channel partners business manager, explaining the rationale behind the distribution agreement. Jamal Al-Bugami, operations manager at Axiom, added: “We shall be pleased to provide Mobily’s products and service through our comprehensive network of outlets in the Kingdom, which is expected to reach 150 points of sale by the end of 2005.” Axiom’s Mobily offering will include pre-paid and post-paid SIM cards as well as recharge cards. Mobily is the official brand of Etihad Etisalat, the new mobile operator established in the Kingdom, jointly owned by UAE incumbent telco operator Etisalat, public investors and also private shareholders. Axiom has established itself as a leading distributor and retailer of mobile phones and related products across the Middle East. The company has existing relationships with an array of major vendors including Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Samsung. Combining these vendor relationships with service provider alliances allows Axiom to provide complete solutions to its customer base.
