Workgroup buyers looking to move from mono to A3 colour printing now have an extra printer model to consider following the Middle East launch of Epson’s AcuLaser C9100. This high-speed tandem colour laser machine has been designed specifically for use by small and medium size workgroups. Capable of outputting up to 24 colour pages per minute, it can handle A3 and banner printing, making it suitable for in-house marketing and presentation work. “Epson’s AcuLaser C9100 delivers high-quality, low-cost colour printing at speeds that were previously limited to standard mono printers,” said Khalil El-Dalu, general manager, Epson Middle East. In addition to its tandem print engine the C9100 employs Epson’s AcuBrite toner. This uses smaller toner particles than usual, which the firm claims helps the printer produce documents with fine detail, outstanding colour expression and uniform image quality. From a resource management standpoint, live status information on consumable levels is reported as text and can also be viewed remotely via a user or manager’s PC, or directly on the printer’s LCD display.
