Wataniya Telecom, the leading provider of mobile services in Kuwait, has announced new content services for its two million-plus customers. The signing of a landmark agreement with Rotana Audio Visual Holding, the premier music company in the Middle East region, allows Wataniya customers to access an exciting entertainment portfolio. Ring tones, wallpapers and video clips can now be delivered faster than previously – thanks to the company’s new broadband network, which is the most advanced nationwide broadband network in the Middle East. “The best mobile content is what customers want,” explains Harri Koponen, general manager and CEO of Wataniya Telecom. “As drivers of new digital services in Kuwait, we believe Wataniya is the strategic partner for Rotana to expand its reach within this advanced mobile market,” adds Nezar Negro, general manager of Rotana. Since launching GPRS and MMS services in 2003, Wataniya Telecom continues to drive increased and varied services for customers, who account for 70% of Kuwait’s mobile users. The company also provides a wide range of wireless voice and data services.
