German orangeade producer Sinalco has introduced four new varieties to the UAE as part of a campaign to promote the soft drink in the Middle East. Soft-launched at the recent Gulfood show, the flavours include Rosso (blood orange flavour), Fresco (lemon and elderflower), Caribico (mango) and Ice Tea Mango. “We had a very successful Gulfood show, acquiring new partners in the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore we were thrilled at the level of interest shown in Sinalco,” says Mongi Goundi, managing director of Sinalco International. With a long-standing regional presence, the company claims the drink and its slogan: “Die Sinalco schmeckt” (Sinalco tastes good) enjoy cult status with consumers. “People confirm time and again that the name and slogan of Sinalco are perceived as an individual quality and taste guarantee,” says Goundi. As a franchise company, Sinalco International issues licences to foreign bottlers for the use of the trademark rights, supplies them with all necessary basic substances, essences and recipes from Germany and in this way tries to guarantee a constant level of quality. The company offers franchisees support in technical matters as well as in sales and marketing. Available in both hypermarkets and smaller shops, Sinalco International leaves distribution up to regional bottling partners. “It is the taste and friendly German brand that makes our beverage so attractive to consumers,” comments Goundi.
