Emaar Properties is making life easier for itself by deploying Oracle’s E-Business Suite to fully integrate and streamline its business processes. The property developer claimed the project has enhanced its operational efficiencies and financial reporting, and increased the quality of its customer service. Emaar’s business ranges from real estate development to financing and from facilities management to telecommunications services. The Oracle E-Business Suite will link Emaar’s financial systems, property management, project development, and customer relationship management (CRM) functions, which will allow for all business to be neatly dealt with under one roof. “Considering our diverse areas of operation, future expansion plans and our exponential rate of growth, it was imperative for Emaar to deploy a robust IT infrastructure and enterprise business applications framework to get a complete view of our finances and customer service performance,” said A. J. Jaganathan, chief executive officer of Emaar Properties. “Emaar’s Oracle implementation also enables us to completely realign the channels through which we service our customers, whether by telephone, online, or in-person, across all our properties. Internally we have automated many aspects of our property management and key back office functions. Oracle E-Business Suite is providing us with a 360-degree view of our business and a great insight into our performance,” he added. The ability to access all this information and analysis in real-time will help Emaar become a more customer-focused and informed organisation, Jaganathan claimed. Sahm Technologies, the information technology subsidiary of Emaar Properties, implemented the solution. It is also providing post-implementation support via its eSustenance Centre in Dubai. Sahm said it is looking to provide similar implementations outside Emaar Properties. “We have gained a significant amount of experience managing this complex project to completion and also providing IT outsourcing services to a very demanding client like Emaar, we are now offering similar services to the broader market in partnership with Oracle Middle East,” said Arvind Bhatnagar, chief executive officer of Sahm Technologies. Emaar will utilise Oracle’s solution to automate its lease executions on housing properties such as The Lakes, while integrating its forecasting and financial analysis with up-to-the-minute development and sales information on freehold properties such as Emirates Hills, The Meadows, The Springs, The Greens, Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches. “Consolidating financial information, property and customer service processes onto a single system, accessible online reduces operational expenses and gives Emaar a transparent, up-to-the minute perspective on all of its development and sales activities. This degree of business intelligence will help ensure that Emaar remains one of the region’s leading property developers,” said Husam Dajani, Oracle’s vice president for the Middle East and Africa.
