Emaar Properties, the region’s largest property developer, completes the deployment of Oracle e-business suite, fully integrating and streamlining the company’s back-to-front-office business processes. The project enhances operational efficiencies and financial reporting, and improves the quality of customer service. The Oracle e-business suite of business applications links Emaar’s financial systems, property management, project development, and customer relationship management (CRM) functions for enhanced customer service. Sahm Technologies, the IT subsidiary of Emaar Properties, has managed the complex project implementation for a timely, on budget completion. The production environment is also managed via Sahm's managed IT services, which are designed to help Emaar and other customers focus on their core business by outsourcing the IT infrastructure management through tight service level agreements (SLAs). Sahm is also providing post-implementation support via its eSustenance Centre in Dubai. Emaar’s business ranges from real estate development to financing and from facilities management to telecommunications services and considering its diverse areas of operation, future expansion plans and exponential rate of growth, A. J. Jaganathan, CEO of Emaar Properties says, “It was imperative for Emaar to deploy a robust IT infrastructure and enterprise business applications framework to get a complete view of our finances and customer service performance.” Emaar’s Oracle implementation also enables the company to completely realign the channels through which it serves its customers, whether by telephone, online, or in-person, across all its properties. “Internally, we have automated many aspects of our property management and key back office functions. Oracle E-Business Suite is providing us with a 360-degree view of our business and a great insight into our performance,” Jaganathan explains. The ability to access all vital company information and analysis in real time will help Emaar become a more customer-focused and informed organisation, enabling a superior level of customer service and more informed decision-making capabilities. “The real estate sector in Dubai and the Middle East region represents one of the most dynamic elements of the regional economy. One of the ways in which Emaar is distinguishing itself as an industry leader is through superior customer service, and the diversity and upkeep of its residential and commercial properties,” comments Husam Dajani, Oracle’s vice president in the Middle East and Africa. Consolidating financial information, property and asset management, and customer service processes onto a single system, accessible online reduces operational expenses and gives Emaar a transparent, up-to-the minute perspective on all of its development and sales activities. ‘This degree of business intelligence will help ensure that Emaar remains one of the region’s leading property developers,” Dajani adds. Emaar will utilise Oracle’s solution to automate its lease executions on exclusive housing properties such as The Lakes, while integrating its forecasting and financial analysis with up-to-the-minute development and sales information on freehold properties such as Emirates Hills, The Meadows, The Springs, The Greens, Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches.
