Villa Mediterrano restaurant at the Amman Marriott Hotel is promoting Spanish cuisine during the months of April through to June. The restaurant will be serving traditional dishes and wines from this renowned culinary country, with visiting chef, Stefano Bianchet from Spain, overseeing kitchen operations. Spanish gastronomy is more a collection of regional cuisines influenced by the geography, climate, culture and local ways of life, rather than a national cuisine. Spanish meals range from traditional recipes such as paella and tapas to less well-known dishes such as gambas al ajillo. “Spanish cooking can initially be described as a cuisine relying strongly on olive oil and garlic. It is Mediterranean cooking and easily identified by the presence of these two elements in the recipes and flavours,” says chef Stefano Bianchet. “Villa Mediterrano ” will be serving some of the best and most famous dishes of Spanish cuisine, which will include the Paella, a typical fish, meat and rice dish, and a variety of hot and cold tapas, ” he adds.
