Kodak has added two new compact digital cameras to its Easyshare line - the C340 and the C300. The C340 is a zoom digital camera that comes with a 5 megapixel (MP) resolution, 3X optical zoom and on-camera cropping. The Easyshare C300 on the other hand, provides users with 3-MP resolution and a fixed-focus lens. “Pictures taken with Easyshare C-series digital cameras can be shared on the camera’s LCD screen, e-mailed or printed instantly. These cameras combine simplicity, quality and value, making it possible for everyone to take and share,” said Arif Khan, Kodak’s MENA area manager. The C340 is positioned as an automatic point-and-shoot camera that allows users to choose from 16 scene and colour modes apart from offering a feature by which users can crop images on the camera, without having to transfer the pictures first into a PC. The C340 also features video (VGA) and audio capture and playback capability. Automatic picture rotation makes pictures taken vertically appear right side up on the camera, television or computer screen when used with Easyshare software. The Easyshare C300 digital camera is positioned as an entry-level point-and-shoot camera. This camera takes pictures at a resolution enough for printing pictures at a size of up to 11 x 14 inches.
