Samsung pulled together more than 30 corporate resellers from across the UAE at its recent printer technology summit to showcase the emerging digital technologies that the vendor plans to bring to the market later this year. Samsung also used the daylong summit to present successful case studies that highlighted the successful deployment of its global printing solutions. Speaking at the reseller get-together, Vivek Sharma, sales and marketing manager at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “Samsung has consistently set new technology benchmarks in the region’s digital printing industry with the launch of several first-of-a-kind laser printers such as the world’s smallest multifunction devices, the world’s first scan-to-USB printer, and the fastest printer in the cassette tray category.” “In 2005, we will continue to deliver on this unrivalled technology benchmark that we have set and will further aspire to lead the local digital printing market. The printer technology summit gave us an ideal platform to demonstrate advances in digital printing such as the growing use of Wi-Fi technology and also share our successful large-scale implementations globally,” he added Samsung is working hard to build up its channel of distributors and resellers in the Middle East that will enable it to grab an even bigger slice of market share in the printer space.
