As part of its campaign to improve local information technology skills, Satyam is planning to introduce a training and recruitment initiative for a select group of fresh graduates from the region’s top universities, Rama Raju, chief executive & managing director of Satyam, told IT Weekly. The details are still being worked on, but Satyam is looking at sponsoring several UAE graduates for training in its technology centre in India. The recruits will either be trained on IT and software-related courses, or on marketing-related skills such as pre-sales, marketing, business analysis and client interface. At the end of the programme, Satyam will hire some of the trainees that meet its performance criteria, the company said.
