Avaya has appointed Almasa Network Solutions as a value-added distribution partner for its voice-over IP telephony and wireless product portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. “Avaya compliments Almasa’s strategy of providing first class service, products and solutions. This relationship will strengthen our portfolio in the enterprise segment,” said Mehdi Amjad, group managing director at Almasa. “With our Extreme, HP ProCurve and Juniper product range, Avaya’s leading voice applications will bring our clients complete solution options, strengthening Almasa in the IP domain.” “This agreement will provide the ideal platform for state-of-the-art convergence solutions through our channel partners to the Middle East businesses,” added Amjad. With strong demand for IP telephony solutions across the Middle East, Avaya claims that its latest distribution agreement will allow it expand both its reach and coverage. Almasa Networking Solutions has been growing rapidly since its inception and has signed up a succession of best-of-breed vendors in the networking arena. “This agreement with Almasa will provide Avaya with the reach and the support services required to connect with a whole new group of reseller partners who are up and coming in the field of IP telephony solutions,” said Nidal Abou Ltaif, managing director at Avaya MENA. “Almasa Network Solutions is gearing up to provide a true value-added service to these reseller partners, who in turn will be able to introduce converged voice and data network solutions to customers across the region. We are very pleased to have signed Almasa as a value-added distributor, and we are looking forward to a long and rewarding relationship for Avaya, Almasa and our resellers,” he added. Avaya is moving quickly to develop a two-tier distribution model in the region. Expect another regional distribution partner to be announced in the coming weeks.
