The Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers is planning a couple of promotions guaranteed to get diners’ tongues in a twist. The Okonomiyaki promotion at the Creekside Japanese Restaurant will present a new taste in Japanese snacks in March. Okonomiyaki is a Japanese pancake or pizza and, by adding variety to the ingredients, it can be enjoyed as both a snack or main meal. The meaning of “Okonomi” is literally translated as “as you like…” reflecting the wide variety of ingredients you can add, and “Yaki” refers to the cooking method: grilled. Diners can choose their own ingredients and the Creekside chefs will blend them to create an individual Okonomiyaki to taste. The hotel’s Indian restaurant, Ashiana, presents a Biryani promotion fit for kings. Nushka-e-shahjahani offers a range of Biryanis mastered in the Royal Kitchens of the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. The kitchens of the Royal Court, which were a separate division of Mughal administration, employed chefs from different regions. Dishes on the menu will include Jhinga Dum Chilman, Gucchi Motia Biryani and Mutton Chaamp Biryani. The Nushka-e-shahjahani promotion will run from March 17 to 27 at Ashiana’s at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers.
