Distribution outfit Empa has been appointed as an Authorised Acer Service Provider (ASP) for the CIS. Empa recently picked up the rights to distribute a wide range of Acer kit into the region, including desktops, notebooks, tablet PCs, servers, monitors, projectors and storage products. “Nowadays in the IT industry, product specifications, features and prices are almost similar for all major vendors,” said Adnan Siddique, RMA and service department spokesperson at Empa. “An Acer Care Service Centre will cover three major areas in pre and post-sales support of Acer products: product support service, repair service and spare parts support service.” “For end-users, Empa is an extended arm of Acer, providing the highest levels of technical support and product information. By this, we are certain that our customers get the maximum support whenever needed,” added Siddique. Acer has invested heavily in building up its after-sales service and support infrastructure across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). The vendor aims to have more than 100 ASPs across MEA by the end of 2005. This commitment to customers is now extending into the CIS with the appointment of Empa as an ASP for the region
